Mobile money has transformed the lives of millions of people, especially in its role in driving financial inclusion globally. Africa is no exception, with over 180 million active mobile wallet accounts and also accounting for over 70% of the $1 trillion transactions value processed in 2021. Despite the positive growth in recent years, over 57 percent of Africans do not hold any kind of bank account, including mobile money accounts according to a report from BPC. We are committed to building the necessary infrastructures that will accelerate commerce, unlock economic opportunities, and further drive financial inclusion on the continent leveraging our strategic partnerships with the banks and mobile money operators.
